THE SOCIETY CULINARY TOUR

We know, we know. New York City is full of restaurants, some good, some bad, but always an opportunity to try new ones or revisit old favorites. For one day this summer, we say forget the favorites and banish the boxed food in your cupboards. Yes, our apartments may have tiny kitchens but think about how impressive it will be to your friends, family, or late night pick up when you have ACTUAL food in your apartment to cook for them. Save yourself a phone call and give your delivery man a break, it’s time to hit the Union Square Greenmarket.
Being led by Society set caterers, Kimberly Belle & Erin Fritch of The Dinner Belle, members of The Society will scope out New York City’s largest market, the Union Square Greenmarket, and get insider information about shopping (what to look for, the best vendors for the real deal) and cooking. Special attention will be paid to topics of sustainable farming and sourcing natural foods from among the many market offerings.
After navigating the stalls at the market and using the provided menu and map, members will gather at The Dinner Belle’s Brooklyn office and enjoy an interactive lesson in how to prepare your Greenmarket finds. All ofthe hard work could only lead to one thing: Brunch, Family Style with specialty cocktails.
Date: Saturday September 13th Time: 10:00 AM meet at the Union Square Market Note: Please let us know of any food allergies
